1. A simple pendulum of time 1.22secs came to equilibri
on one
borizontal scale. The pendulum is set to oscillation and their extreme positions
side of the equilibrium are noted at intervals of 5 minutes. The readings obtained are
as follows.

If the amplitude of the pendulum at any time t is given by;
A=Ao exp(-wt/2Q)

Where w = angular frequency;
Ao = amplitude at t = 0; and
Q = quantity factor.
(i) Plot a suitable graph and evaluate the
a. quantity factor Q; and
b. spread of the frequency distribution.
What would be responsible for the gradual decrease in the pendulum's
amplitude?
(iii) Differentiate between free and forced oscillations.
