Answer:

Each family will get 100 litres if water.

Step-by-step explanation:

Question :

A tank of dimension 8m • 6m • 50cm is full of water which is to be supplied equally to 24 families.

Solution :

Step 1:

  • Convert the dimensions in the same unit.

→ 8m • 6m • 50cm = 800cm • 600cm • 50cm

[∵ 1m = 100cm]

Volume of the tank :

→ 800 • 600 • 50

→ 24,00,000cm³

Step 2 :

Converting volume in litres :

Since,

∵ 1,000cm³ = 1 litre.

∴ 1m³ = 1/1,000litres.

∴ 24,00,000 = 24,00,000/1,000

→ 2400 litres.

Step 3 :

Finding the amount of water to be supplied per family out of 24 :

Each family will get = 2,400/24 litres of water.

→ 2,400/24

→ 100 litres

Therefore,Each family will get 100 litres of water
