a) Rayon is produced by dissolving cellulose followed by the conversion of this solution back to insoluble fibrous cellulose. Various processes have been developed for this regeneration. Principally, the methods are the Cuprammonium method, Viscose method, and the Lyocell Process.

b) 2 Uses of Rayon are :

1)Rayon is used in textile industry for making clothing like sarees, blouses, dresses, socks.

2)It is used to make furnishing such as bed-sheets, curtains, blankets etc
