1. An electric dipole of length 1cm which placed with its axis making an angle of 60° with a uniform electric field, experiences a torque of 6V3 Nm. Calculate the potential energy of the dipole if it has charge + 2 nC. ​

Potential energy(U) = -pEcostheta - EQ (I)

We know torque= p E then p=torque /E

By Putting in EQ (I)

U= (-) torque × cos theta

So U= 6√3 × 1/2

U=>-3√3 joules
