Answer:

The radius of the circle= r

(i) When it completes half circle:-

(Refer to Image 1)

Distance= 2circumference=22πr

Distance= πr

Displacement= r+r=2r

(ii) When it completes 3/4th of the circle:-

The distance covered= 43(circumference)

⇒43(2πr)=23πr

The displacement= AB (Refer to Image 2)

By using pythagoras theorem

AB2=r2+r2

⇒AB2=2r2

⇒AB=2r

Displacement= 2r

Distance= 23πr
