To check whether 1 and 2 are zeroes of ,P(x)=x-3x+2 we put the value of x as 1 and 2 and check it.

Putting x as 1

we get,

P(1) = 1-3x1+2

     =1-3+2

     =1-1

     P(1)=0

Now putting x as 2

we get,

P(2) = 2-3x2 +2

      = 2 - 6 +2

      = 2-4

      = -2

So, from above we can conclude that 1 is a zero of P(x)=x-3x+2 but 2 is not a zero of the above equation.
