1.The particles of a colloid are uniformly spread throughout the solution. Due to the relatively smaller size of particles, as compared to that of a suspension, the mixture appears to be homogeneous. But actually, a colloidal solution is a heterogeneous mixture, for example, milk.

2.Air is a mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, argon and other gases. If one simplifies its composition, it is a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen. ... Nitrogen is the solvent and oxygen (and all the other minor components) is the solute.

3.The student mixture is only visible by Tyndall effect because of the solubility of chalk powder in water very less which forms a suspension solution. This type of solution is colloidal which is a type of homogenous solution with intermediate particle size between solution and a suspension.
