Given:-

  • ABCD is a rectangle & ∆ABP is inscribed in it.
  • Area of Rectangle is 36cm²

To Find:-

  • Area of ∆ABP

Required Response:-

WKT

If a Triangle and a Parallelogram is on the same base and between same parallels...

Then, \bf{\star\;Area_{(Triangle)} = \frac{1}{2}[Area_{(Parallelogram)}]}

As, We know that

Every Rectangle is a Parallelogram but all parallelograms are not rectangles.

So, In Rectangle ABCD

  • AB || CD
  • AD || BC

Here, ∆ABP and ▭ABCD is on the same base(AB) and between same parallels[AB || CD]

\bf{\star\;Area_{(Triangle)} = \frac{1}{2}[Area_{(Rectangle)}]}

 \frac{1}{2} (36) \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times 36 \\ 18

Area of ABP

  • \longmapsto\;\red{\bold{18{cm}^{2}}}

\boxed{\tt{@MrSovereign}}

Hope It Helps You ✌️
