1. Cartons of orange juice are advertised
as containing 1 litre. A random sample of
100 cartons gave the following results for the
volume, x litres.
x = 101.4 and x = 102.83
Calculate the mean and standard deviation
of the volume of orange juice in these
100 cartons

2. For a set of 10 numbers, x = 290 and
x2 = 8469.
Find (i) the mean, (ii) the standard deviation,
(iii) the variance.

3. For a particular set of data,
n = 100, x = 584 and x2 = 23 781.
Find
(i) the mean, X
(ii) the variance.

The direction of magnetic field at the centre

of the circular loop depends on whether the

current in the loop flows in clockwise or

anticlockwise direction.When the current is in

clockwise direction, the magnetic field goes

into the side of wall.

when current is in clockwise direction the

direction of magnetic field (B) is towards

the circuit on the other hand when current

is in anticlockwise direction the direction of

magnetic field (B) is outwards the circuit.
