Let say Total Questions = 4Q

Chris answered 25% of the remaining questions on the test correctly.
= (25/100)(4Q - 20)
=> Q - 5
Total answered correctly = 13 + Q - 5 = Q + 8
Chris received a mark of 50% & each Question marked 1
hence he answered 50 % Correct answer
=> Q + 8 = (50/100) 4Q
=> Q + 8 = 2Q
=> Q = 8
=> 4Q = 32
