1. An Olfactory indicator is a substance whose smell varies depending on whether it is mixed with an acidic or basic solution. Olfactory indicatorscan be used in the laboratory to test whether a solution is a base or an acid, a process called olfactory titration. Onion , clove oil and vanilla extract are examples.
2. 2nd option is correct.....the smell of the substance changes....
Hope it helps ❤️❤️

1.Olfactory indicator are those indicators which helps us in determining whether a substance is acidic or basic by changing its smell.
For example:
When when acid react with onion extract then onion doesn't loss its cheristristic smell but when onion extract react with base then it loss its cheristristic smell..

2.In olfactory indicators the smell of the substance change..
