Heterotrophic nutrition.the word Hetero means other and trophic means nutrition thus the word heterotrophic means nutrition obtaining from others. Heterotrophic nutrition is that mode of nutrition in which an organism can not make its own food from simple inorganic material like carbon dioxide and water. Therefore these organisms are dependent on other organisms for their food. Eg animals, most bacteria, non green plants and fungi etc

kantipudisrikanth27: how does paramecium obtain its food?explain.
heartlessgirl1p6cvnm: Paramecia feed on microorganisms like bacteria, algae, and yeasts. To gather food, the Paramecium makes movements with cilia to sweep prey organisms, along with some water, through the oral groove, and inside the mouth opening. The food passes through the cell mouth into the gullet.
