• The Municipal Corporation consists of four organs: General Council: It comprises of members which are elected from different wards. These are directly elected by the adult citizens of that city. It also consists of members known as aldermen who are respected and popular citizens of the city.

• Water supply bills.
• Property taxes.
• Rents from municipal corporation-owned markets, houses, plazas, etc.
• Taxes from commercial vehicles registered in the city.
• Grants provided by the respective state governments.
