1. All the particles of the same substance do not have the same kinetic energy
2.Temperature is the measure of an object's kinetic energy
So higher temps = higher kinetic energy
Lower temp = lower kinetic energy
3.
Objects that take up space and have mass are called matter
Ex- Ice Chair Water
4. Matter is made of leptons, quarks, atoms, molecules, and compounds. The basic components of matter, leptons and quarks, can interact in four basic ways: gravity, electromagnetism, weak interactions, and strong interactions.
5.
Solid is the state in which matter has a fixed volume and shape. Liquid on the other hand is the state in which the volume varies only slightly, and the shape changes according to the shape of the container that it is in.
6.(A)
Liquids also pretty much keep their volume, but they take up the shape of their container. They also have a surface.
(B)
Gases on the other had have neither fixed volume or shape, a gas will always expand to completely fill its container and they have no surface.
7.
Gases don't have Fixed shape and volume. This is because the intermolecular forces between the gaseous molecules are extremely high. There are also no forces of attraction between the molecules.
8.
We cannot cut it because it is a liquid and we cannot cut liquid as they have large intermolecular space.

1.) Yes the particles of matter have kinetic energy as they are constantly in motion.
2.) The higher the temperature is , more is the kinetic energy.
3.) Anything that occupies space and has mass is called matter.Eg. table ,chair, air, paper, etc.
4.) Matter is made up of tiny particles called ATOMS.
5.) Solids because they have strong inter molecular forces of attraction which gives solids their fixed shape and volume.
6.) Water because they have weak inter molecular forces of attraction .
7.) Gases as they have negligibe forces of attraction.

victoriousbrainiac: Sorry i dont know the answer to the last one. :(
Yasmin: It's ok :)
