Solution :-
Let us assume that, the original number is 10x + y, where y is unit digit and x is ten's digit .
given that,
→ 10x + y = 8(x + y)
→ 10x + y = 8x + 8y
→ 10x - 8x = 8y - y
→ 2x = 7y
→ x/y = 7/2
→ x : y = 7 : 2
also,
→ (10x + y) - 45 = (10y + x)
→ 10x - x + y - 10y = 45
→ 9x - 9y = 45
→ 9(x - y) = 45
→ x - y = 5 ---------- (2)
then,
→ 7z - 2z = 5
→ 5z = 5
→ z = 1 .
therefore,
→ x = 7z = 7
→ y = 2z = 2 .
hence,
→ Original number = (10x + y) = (10 * 7 + 2) = 70 + 2 = 72 (Ans.)
