The answers to the given questions could be written by comprehending the given paragraph:

(1) The shop was very dark from the inside at night because its windows were covered with wooden shutters at night. According to the author, the lamplight gave the room an appearance of a "treasure cove" or an "alchemist's den".

(2) The front side of Tim's shop was ordered. To the inside of the long shop, it became gradually chaotic. The furniture in the shop was two large counters with glass-topped cabinets, shelves, discrete wooden displays, and small tables (some of which were glass-topped).

(3) Tim was not a good business because his more precious jewelry was laid out in the glass-topped cabinets rather than keeping them hidden in the back room, and the cheaper jewelry was kept within the glass-topped cabinets in an entangled mess.

(4) Mor has learned some information about stones from Tim. But he did not want to learn about this because he disapproved of Tim's profession for some reasons that were not clear to him.

(5) A miscellany of other small adornments means "a mixture of various small ornaments".

(6) Tim's shop is a long jewelry shop that is neatly arranged on the front side of the shop and untidy and chaotic to the rest of the shop. The jewelry was arranged on glass-topped shelves and other shelves. There were other types of furniture in the shop like cabinets, wooden displays, small tables, etc.
