Explain the reason for the general fitting of air conditioner at higher level on the wall of the room.
Air conditioners are fitted at higher levels on the walls of a room in order to produce quick cooling in the room. This is because the cooled air from the AC comes down and the warm air from below rises up and a convection current is set up.
2)Mercury is the only one in liquid state at room temperature. It's used in thermometers because it has high coefficient of expansion. Hence, the slightest change in temperature is notable when it's used in a thermometer. It also has a high boiling point which makes it very suitable to measure higher temperature.
3)We wear light coloured clothes in summer because light colours reflect heat which helps our body to keep cool whereas dark colours absorb heat that is why it is considered to wear dark coloured clothes in winters.
