The numbers between 1 and 100 have exactly three factors, 4, 9, 25, and 49.

Given:

(1) 256  (ii) 625  (iii) 243  (iv) 343  (v) 121

To find:

All the factors of the numbers and the numbers between 1 and 100 have exactly three factors.

Solution:

Factors:

In math, a factor is a value of a number that divides another number completely without leaving a remainder.

For example, Factors of 6 = 3, 2

Factors of given numbers are

(1) 256 = 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256

(ii) 625 = 1, 5, 25, 125, 625

(iii) 243 = 1, 3, 9, 27, 81, 243

(iv) 343 = 1, 7, 49, 343

(v) 121 = 1, 11, 121

2. The numbers between 1 and 100 have exactly three factors are

There are 4 numbers between 1 and 100 that have exactly 3 factors.

They are 4, 9, 25, and 49.

=> Factors of 4, are 1, 2, 4.

=> Factors of 9, are 1, 3, 9.

=> Factors of 25, are 1, 5, 25.

=> Factors of 49, are 1, 7, 49.

Therefore,

The numbers between 1 and 100 have exactly three factors, 4, 9, 25, and 49.
