= ( 50 + 26) × ( 50 - 26 )

= (50)² - (26)²

Again

= ( 50 + 24 ) × ( 50 - 24 )

= (50)² - (24)²

Now

(26)² > (24)²

∴ - (24)² > - (26)²

∴ (50)² - (24)² > (50)² - (26)²

∴ 76 × 24 > 74 × 26

Hence 76 × 24 is larger
