1 find the area of a trapezium when
(1) its parallel sides are 16 cm and 22cm.and the perpendicular distance between them is 11cm.
(2) its parallel sides are 42cm and 24cm.and the perpendicular distance between them is 15cm.​

a) Area of trapezium =

h \times \frac{a + b}{2}

11 \times \frac{16 + 22}{2}

11* 38/2

11* 19

= 209 cm^2

b)

15 \times \frac{42 + 24}{2}

15 * 66/2

15* 33 = 495 cm^2
