Maximum no of electrons in n=2 orbit = 2×2^2=8

If u forget the formula then:

Remember that n= 2 orbit has s and p subshell

Max no of electrons in s subshell = 2

Max no of electrons in p subshell = 6

Maximum no of electrons in n=2 orbit = 8
