We know that,

$\large\boxed{\sf{Perimeter=2(Lenghth+ breadth) }}$

According to the question,

$\large\Longrightarrow{\sf{Perimeter=2(Lenghth+ breadth) }}$

$\large\Longrightarrow{\sf{Perimeter=2(3+1.8) }}$

$\large\Longrightarrow{\sf{Perimeter=2\times4.8}}$

$\large\Longrightarrow{\sf{Perimeter=9.6 \:m}}$

$\large\blue\therefore\boxed{\sf{\blue{Perimeter\: of\: the \:carpet\: is\: 9.6 \:m. }}}$
