Answer :-

  • (i) 20.5cm
  • (ii) 39cm
  • (iii) 18cm
  • (iv) 25.2cm

Step-by-step explanation ::

To Find :-

  • The perimeter of the following

Solution :-

  • (i) A triangle ABC having sides of lengths, AB = 7 cm, BC = 5 cm, AC = 8.5 cm

As we know that,

Perimeter of triangle = a + b + c,

Where,

  • a, b and c are the three sides of triangle

=> Perimeter = ( 7 + 5 + 8.5 ) cm

=> Perimeter = ( 7 + 13.5 ) cm

=> Perimeter = 20.5cm.

  • (ii) A rectangle of length 12 cm and breadth 7.5cm.

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth )

=> Perimeter = 2 ( 12 + 7.5 ) cm

=> Perimeter = 2 ( 19.5 ) cm

=> Perimeter = 2*19.5 cm

=> Perimeter = 39.0cm.

  • (iii) A square having each side of length 4.5 cm.

As we know that,

Perimeter of square = 4 × side,

=> Perimeter = 4 × 4.5

=> Perimeter = 18.0cm.

  • (iv) A rhombus having each side of length 6.3 cm.

As we know that,

Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side,

=> Perimeter = 4 × 6.3

=> Perimeter = 25.2cm.
