Solution :

A non-leap year has 365 days.

365 days = 52 weeks + 1 day

1 week has 7 days

To find :

Probability of being 53 sundays in a non-leap year

Number of favourable events = E = Sunday

=> n(E) = 1

And Number of total events = S = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

=> n(S) = 7

As we know that :

Probability = Number of favourable events/Number of total events

=> P = n(E)/n(S) = 1/7
