1.find the remainder when 2x²-3x+4 is divided by 2x-3. does it exactly divide the polynomial? state reason.
A)p(x)=2x²-3x+5
when p(x)is divided by (2x-3)
the remainder is p(3/2)
p 3/2=

Answer:

Given polynomial 2x2−3x+5 is divided by 2x−3

Then 2x−3=0 or x=23

Replace x by 23 we get

p(x)=2x2−3x+5

p(23)=2(23)2−3(23)+5

⇒p(23)=418−29+5

⇒p(23)=418−18+20

⇒p(23)=5

Thus remainder is 5

Then the value of polynomial 2x2−3x+5 is not zero by polynomial 2x−3

So 2x−3 is not the factor of  polynomial 2x2−3x+5
