Square : all sides are equal & diagonals are also equal

take right angles triangle in square in which hypotenuse is diagonal and base and perpendicular & base are equal

so take base and perpendicular to be S

so by pytogoras theorem

hypotenuse^2=Base^2 + perpendicular^2

hypotenuse^2=S^2+S^2

hypotenuse^2=2(s)^2. (hypotenuse : 10cm)

10^2=2(S)^2

100=2(s)^2

100/2=S^2

50=s^2

√50=s

√(2*5*5)

5√2
