1. Find x
a. (5/12)^8 x (12/5)^-4 = (125/1728)^x
b.2^3 + 1^3=3^x

2. find the area and perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 15 cm and the length of one the diagonals is 17 cm.

3.Translate the following sentences into equations and solve them by any method:
a. Five added to ten times a number equals thirty-five.
b. Eight less than twice a number is sixteen.
c. Three times a number subtracted from three gives twenty-four.
d. One and a half a times a number is two and a half more than five

4. A tree is broken at a height 5 m from the ground and its top touches the ground at a distance of 12 m from the base of the tree. Find the original length of the tree.
