1. For the circle x2 +y2 - 4x + 4y - 42 = 0.
(1) Find the centre and radius.
(11) A line l, y + x = 0 meets the circle at the points A and B.
Find the points A and B.
(IT) is the midpoint of AB is the centre of the circle?
(iv) Find the equation of a line 12 which is perpendicular to l, and
passes through the point (0,-4).
(v) Is l2 is a tangent to the above circle? If so find the point of where
12 meets the circle. If not, check whether la passes through the
circle at two points? Suppose la passes through the circle at two
points then find the points of intersections.
(vi) is the line la passes through the centre of the circle?
(vii) Check whether the points P (-5, -1) and Q 9.-1) is on the
boundary of the circle.
(viii) Find the equation of normal to the circle at the point P.
