Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x =3/7 , and y =-5/11

verify that

(-x) + (- y) = -(x + y)

LHS=(-3/7)+(-(-5/11))

= -3/7+5/11

Taking LCM of 7 and 11 =7*11=77

=1/77(-3*11+5*7)

=1/77(-33+35)

=-2/77

Now RHS=-(3/7-5/11)

=-1/77( 3*11-5*7)

=-1/77(33-35)

=-1/77(-2)

=2/77

We get

LHS= RHS

Hence verified

reezajuhi75: in L H S how the - sign is placed
Anonymous: y=-5/11 so -y = -( -5/11)=5/11, because - and - become +
reezajuhi75: 1/77(-33+35) the answer after this will be 2/77 na but u have expalined-2/77
reezajuhi75: the sign of largest no. is placed
Anonymous: Yes that is wrong ,It should be 2/77.Please do correction in the solution
