No. of π - bonds: 9

2. According to VBT bonds in methane are formed due to overlapping of one s-orbital of hydrogen atom with one of the 4 sp³ hybrid orbitals. This results in the formation of a C-H bond. Four H atoms form four such bonds, and they are all equivalent.
