Because oxygen is a waste material during the process of photosynthesis as it is released by plants as a waste material.

Light intensity has a very large effect on the rate of photosynthesis. if light is more then the process of photosynthesis will occur faster and its rate will also increase but if we decrease light it will lead to the decreasement in rate of photosynthesis.
