1. If a new organism is discovered and it is found that it can make food for itself from simple
non-living substances found in nature, what will you classify it as-an autotroph or a heterotroph?
Give reasons.
2. The absence of which of these will not affect photosynthesis-oxygen, carbon dioxide, water,
chlorophyll, light? Give reasons.
3. Do you expect the intensity of light to affect the rate of photosynthesis?

1. Autotrophs. Autotrophs are organisms that can produce its own food using inorganic substances

2. The absence of oxygen will not affect photosynthesis . During photosynthesis the carbon di oxide and water in taken and converted into energy in the presence of light releasing oxygen.

3. Yes, the carbon di oxide fixation increase as the intensity of light increases.

Hope this helps

Answer:

1 ans Organism could be an Aototroph as well as a hetrotroph like Euglena

2 ans ..Oxygen is not necessary for photosynthesis plants use oxygen for respiration at night

3 ans .. light intensity effects photo synthesis.photosynthesis increse if light intensity increase the rate of photosynthesis is directly proportional to lighy intensity
