Answer:X=3y

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that BC=AO

So BC equal to radius of the given Circle.

Let's join OB

OB=AO (RADII OF SAME CIRCLE)

So BC=BO

∠BOC=∠BCO=y. [ They are corresponding to the equal sides of a triangle]

Then ∠OBC=180° −2y and OBA=2y [Exterior angle Property]

Then ∠OAB=∠OBA=2y. [ They are corresponding to the equal sides]

Then ∠AOB=180° −4y [because ∠AOB= 180°-(∠BAO+∠ABO) And ∠BAO=∠ABO=2y So 2y +2y = 4y]

∠AOC=180°−4y+y =180°-3y

And 180-(180-3y) = x [Linear pair axiom]

  • 3y=X
  • Your Ans.x=3y

Hope it helps.
