Given  :  one side of a square is represented by 16x - 25 units

adjacent side is represented by 31 - 12 x,

To Find :  length of the side of the square

Value of x

Solution:

All sides of Square are equal

16x - 25 = 31  - 12x

=> 16x + 12x = 31 + 25

=> 28x  = 56

=> x = 2

value of 'x' = 2

16x - 25

= 16(2) - 25

= 32 - 25

= 7

or

31 - 12x

= 31 - 12(2)

= 31 - 24

= 7

The length of the side of the square is 7 units *
