1) Given p(x) =x³-x²+x+1

Value of p(1)=1³-1²+1+1

= 1-1+1+1

= 2

2) p(E) = 0.70

p(not E ) = ?

We know that,

p(E) + p( not E ) = 1

=> 0.70 + p(not E) = 1

=> p(not E ) = 1-0.70

= 0.3

Therefore ,

P(not E) = P(E bar ) = 0.3
