Q. No. 1)

Cost of 1 matchbox = ₹ 0.50

Cost of 10 match boxes = ₹ 0.50 × 10 = ₹ 5

No. of boxes that can be bought with ₹ 5.50 = ₹ 5.50 / 0.50 = 11 matchboxes

Q. No. 2)

Cost of 1 soap = ₹ 16.50

Cost of 10 soaps = ₹ 16.50 × 10 = ₹ 165

Q. No. 3)

Cost of 1 banana = ₹ 2.50

Cost of 6 bananas = ₹ 2.50 × 6 = ₹ 15

Q. No. 4)

Cost of 1 notebook = ₹ 15.50

Number of notebooks that can be bought with ₹ 124 = ₹ 125 / 15.50 = 8 notebooks

Q. No. 5)

Cost of the bat = ₹ 70

Money with Mihir = 1 note of ₹ 50 , 1 coin of 35 paise , 3 coins of 2 paise , 4 coins of 31 paise and 4 coins of 50 paise

More money needed by him = ₹ 70 - ( 50+0.35+0.6+1.24+2) = ₹ 70 - ₹ 56.19 = ₹ 13.81
