In a test, (+3) marks are given for every correct answer and (-1). mark is given
every incorrect answer. Sona attempted all the questions and scored (+20) marks
though she got 10 correct answers
(i) How many incorrect answers has she attempted?
(ii) How many questions were given in the test?

Sona attempted 10 correct answers. One correct answer fetches +3marks. So total marks obtained by her for correct answers =+30

But finally her score was +20. It means she lost( +30)-(+20)=10 marks for incorrect answers. it is given  that  -1 marks is given for wrong answer.so the incorrect answers attempted by her were 10.

So (i) She attempted 10 incorrect answers,

     (ii) 20 questions were given in the test.

Sona attempted all the questions out  of which 10 were correct and 10 were incorrect. Marks obtained for correct answers were +30 and marks given for incorrect answers were -10. So her final tally was +30-10=+20.
