Thomas Paine didn’t correspond with the facts that Great Britain has regularly profited the colonies and will ever profit them in the future. He questions the point that it will contribute protection and security to the colonized countries. Paine was of the belief that independence and freedom is a must for the well being of America and for its people. He aspired to overthrow British rule and wanted assistance from his people. He calls his people to be riding on a deceived path and asks them to move on the path which would grant them freedom.
