(1)It is given that the resistivity of a conductor does not depend on length of wire.

(2)But in the formula to calculate resistivity it is given that,
Resistivity = RA/l
where R = Resistance
A = Area of cross-section
l = length of wire
This shows that 'l' plays a major role in calculating RESISTIVITY as it is in the denominator.

So, these both (1) and (2) contradicts...How is this possible? Please explain in detail.
