1 kg of cherries costs is 40 rupees .what is the cost of 500 g?

Given that cost of 1000g of cherries = 40 rupees.

Then the cost of 500g of cherries = 1/2 of 1000g of cherries

                                                          = 1/2 * 40

                                                          = 20.


Therefore the cost of 500g of cherries = 20 rupees.
