Answer:

Age of Kim is 24 years and age of her sister is 12 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of Kim's sister be a years,

So,

Age of Kim = twice of her sister's age

                   = 2 x a years

                    = 2a years

According to the question : -

a :  When we add Kim's age to her sister's age, you get 36. How old is each sister.

= >  Age of Kim + Age of Kim's sister = 36

= >  2a + a = 36

= >  3a = 36          [ Answer 1 ]

b :

= >  3a = 36

= >  3a / 3 = 36 / 3

= >  a = 12          [ Answer 2 ]

Therefore,

Age of Kim's sister = a years = 12 years

Age of Kim = 2a years = 2( 12 ) years = 24 years

suppose the age of Kim's sister be x. so bro.. ,
Age of Kim = 2x

According to the problem###
###Age of kim and her sister = 36
=>x + 2x = 36
=>3x = 36
=>x = 36/3
