Answer:

An empty room tends to be much more reflective, bouncing sounds from wall to wall to window to ceiling to floor with very little absorption. and that's why sounds gets more indistinct and increased.

1. The sound is heard due to reflection.

  • The house is newly built, empty, and enclosed.
  • This means there is no furniture, curtains, or any such items in the house.
  • So the sound emitted when Kiran and her parents talk gets reflected as it strikes the walls of the house.

2. This type of sound is called echo.

  • The reflected sound Kiran hears is called echo.
  • This happens because there are no objects, surfaces, or materials that can absorb their sound waves.
  • As a result, it keeps getting reflected by the walls.
  • The louder their voice, higher will be the echo.
