Answer:

Hey mate, here's your answer

Ans 1. Mitochondria is known as the power house of the cell because it serves as a site for synthesis of ATP (adenosine triphoaphate) , the energy currency of cell, through the process of aerobic cellular respiration. ATP serves as energy currency for different cell activities.

Ans 2. Mitochondria are a part of eukaryotic cells. The main job of mitochondria is to perform cellular respiration. This means it takes in nutrients from the cell, breaks it down and turns it into energy. This. energy is then in turn used by the cell to carry out various functions.

Ans 3. The inner membrane known as the Cristae is deeply folded. The folds of the inner membrane provide an increase in the surface area which gives the mitochondria more locations for ATP production to occur.

Ans 4. Mitochondria is able to make it's own protein due to the presence of ribosomes (protein factories of the cell) within.

Ans 5.

LEUCOPLAST :

these are responsible for white colour.

CHLOROPLAST :

these are used to convert sunlight, water and carbon dioxide into food for the plant and it is also responsible for green colour.

CHROMOPLAST :

these are responsible for colors rather than white and green.

Ans 6. The vacuoles in the cells have three main functions which are to provide the plant with supp

or or rigidity, a storage area for nutrients and waste matter and can decompose complex molecules and it also can store water.

Ans 7.

FOOD VACUOLE :

The food vacuole or the digestive vacuole, is an organelle found in parasites that can cause malaria.

CONTRACTILE VACUOLE :

A CONTRACTILE vacuole is a sub - cellular structure involved in osmo regulation. It is found predominantly in protists and in algae.
