CH4 + O2 gives CO2 + H2O

moles of CH4 = mass/mm

= 33/16

= 2.0625 moles

mass of CO2 = moles * mm

= 2.0625 * 44 ( i got 44 by, (12 + (16*2) ) )

= 90.75

%age yield = actual yield/predicted yield *100

=33/90.75 * 100

= 36.4 %

Answer:75 percent

Explanation:

Ch4 + 2O2=Co2 + 2H20

1mole of ch4 I.e 16 grams= 44grams of co2

But in the question 1 mole of ch4 gives 33g of co2

Therefore the percentage yield is =33÷44×100 =Which is equal to 75 percent
