Paresh is going from Rajasthan to Assam the states which fall between root are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.

Ramesh in order to reach Assam form Rajasthan needs to cross 3 states.
Rajasthan lies in the western part of India while Assam is in the north-eastern state.

Rashmi is going from Himachal Pradesh to Karnataka the states which fall between her route are Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Rashmi in order to reach Karnataka has to cross 4 states from Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh is the northern state of India while Karnataka lies in the southern part of India.
