Given :- Anand and Babu invest in a business in the ratio 4:3. If 2% of the total profit goes to charity and Anand's share is Rs. 854, what is Babu's share ?

A) 644.5

B) 640.5

C) 640

D) 648

Solution :-

given that, 2% of the the total profit goes to charity , that means rest 98% is distributed among them .

now, we know that,

  • Profit ratio = investment ratio .

so,

→ Anand's share in profit = (4/7) of 98% = 56 %

A/q,

→ 56% = 854

→ 1% = (854/56)

→ (3/7) of 98% = (854/56) * 42 = Rs.640.5 (Ans.)

Hence, Babu's share in the profit will be Rs.640.5 .
