Amount spent by Tony=Rs350

Total amount Tony had=Rs500

 \frac{350}{500} is \: \: share \: of \: tony

if we simply it then it is

 \frac{7}{10}

Amount spent by Taniya=Rs300

Total amount Taniya had=Rs400

 \frac{300}{400} is \: share \: of \: taniya

if we simplify it then it is

 \frac{3}{4}

now cross multiplying both fractions....

7 \times 4 = 28

10 \times 3 = 30

here 30 is greater than 28 so

 \frac{3}{4}  >  \frac{7}{10}

so Taniya had spent larger amount of money
