ie xy+5x+5y=25

ie xy+5x+5y=360

so substitute value of x in it from (1) we get

5y square+25y+5y=360

ie 5 y square+30y-360=0

divide by 5 in both sides

we get

y square+6y-72=0

so y square+12y-6y-72=0

ie y(y+12)-6 (y+12)=0

ie (y+12)(y-6)=0

y=-12 or y=6

but as age is never negative y=-12 is absurd

so y=6

hence present age of rama is 6 years
