1) Sanjay bought a computer for ₹ 38,000 and a printer for ₹ 8000. If the rate of sales tax is 7% for these items, find the price he has to pay to buy these two items.
2) Arun sells a synthesizer for ₹ 17,280 including the VAT. What is the selling price he will be getting after depositing the tax to the government at the rate of 8%?

1. A. The price of computer and printer together costs INR 46,000 exclusive of tax

B. If you calculate 7% of 46,000, You get 3220, Which is the tax amount.

C. Now add the tax amount to the price exclusive of tax and get the marked price which is 46,000 + 3220 = 49220

2. 17,280 is the 108% of the price exclusive of tax right ? so you should find the 100% of it to find the price exclusive of tax. So Multiply 17280 with 100 and divided it by 108. You'll get 16,000 which is your price without tax
