1. 2 + -5/6

= (12 - 5 )/6

= 7/6 (answer )

2 .(x - y) ÷ (x + y) if x =3/4, y =4/3

x - y = 3/4 - 4/3

       = -7/12

x + y = 3/4 + 4/3

        = 25/12

(x - y) ÷ (x + y) =( -7/12 ) / (25/12)

                     = -7 /25 (answer )
